How to unlock HDR in Warzone and Black Ops 6

The iconic HDR Sniper Rifle is finally back in Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 3, and you can unlock it for free.

With Verdansk finally returning in Season 3, the devs are going all out to make the OG map feel just like it did back in 2020, just with a few visual upgrades. So, Warzone is getting its own bespoke movement away from Black Ops 6, and floating loot is also coming back.

On top of all that, there are also some meta weapons from the time being reintroduced, including the fan-favorite HDR Sniper Rifle. Here’s how you can get your hands on it.

How to get HDR Sniper Rifle in BO6 and Warzone

The HDR sniper will be available by completing Page 3 of the Season 3 Battle Pass. You’ll need to unlock every other reward on this page using tokens earned by playing matches, before using one final token to claim the weapon as the HVT.

Luckily, this is one of the earlier pages, so you should be able to get it pretty close to the season. It’s also a free unlock, so you’ll be able to get and use it even if you don’t plan on buying the full Battle Pass.

This is only the base version, but the Call of Duty blog also confirmed that there is a Blueprint on page 11 too, which will feature a unique design and a special combination of attachments.

The HDR was the most formidable sniper on Verdansk back in the day, mostly because it could one-shot enemies with a headshot from virtually any range. It hasn’t been explicitly confirmed that this will be the case again, but the devs have teased that it can “knock somebody from 500m+ away,” so it’s very likely.

It also comes with its “distinctive firing sound” that fans will remember, which will only add to the nostalgia when you wipe a squad from a seemingly impossible distance.
